Who It Fits

  • 700+ credit score
  • No late payments, collections, or charge-offs
  • 5+ accounts on your credit report
  • A franchise picked out and a budget from Item 7 of the FDD
  • No business revenue needed. Your personal credit and income carry the approval

Who This Is For

This is a good fit if you:

  • Have a franchise picked out and a rough number from Item 7 of the FDD (the estimated initial investment)
  • Have strong personal credit and verifiable income, either W-2 or self-employed
  • Want to keep cash in the bank as a cushion instead of putting it all into opening costs
  • Want a plan that works alongside an SBA loan, or in place of one
How It Works

How Franchise Funding Works

A brand-new franchise usually has no revenue and no business credit history. That makes most traditional business loans hard to get on day one. What you do have is your personal credit profile, and that's what lenders lean on for a new franchisee.

We look at your full credit report, income, and existing debt, then map out which products you're likely to qualify for and the order to apply. Order matters. Every application is a hard inquiry, and lenders see the inquiries and new accounts from the ones before them. Applying in the right sequence, over a short window, is how you put your strongest profile in front of each lender.

Your Options

Ways to Fund a Franchise

There's no single right answer. Here are the options we compare for every franchise buyer, and where each one fits.

Personal loans

Fixed rate, fixed payment, funded fast once approved. Often used for the franchise fee. Each lender has its own rules on business use, so we only point you to lenders that allow it. More on personal loans.

0% business credit cards

Intro APR periods typically run 6 to 18 months. Good for equipment, signage, inventory, and launch marketing. How card stacking works.

HELOC

If you own a home with equity, a home equity line can carry a large piece of the investment at a lower rate. It's secured by your home, so we weigh that risk with you.

SBA 7(a) loan

Often the cheapest long-term money for a franchise, but slower and paperwork-heavy, with an equity injection usually required. Credit-based funding can cover that injection or bridge the wait, depending on lender rules.

Qualifications

What You Typically Need to Qualify

Every lender sets its own criteria, but the clients who get the strongest results usually have:

  • A 700+ credit score on all three bureaus
  • No late payments, collections, or charge-offs on your reports
  • At least 5 accounts on your credit report, ideally with some age on them
  • Low credit card balances relative to your limits
  • Verifiable income to support new payments

FAQ

Franchise Funding Questions

Can I fund a franchise without an SBA loan?

Often, yes. Many of our franchise clients cover the franchise fee and startup costs with personal loans and 0% business credit cards based on their personal credit.

How much of the franchise investment can credit-based funding cover?

It depends on your credit, income, and existing debt. Client results range from around $30K to over $200K.

Can I use this alongside an SBA loan?

Yes. Some clients use credit-based funding to bridge the time while an SBA loan is in underwriting.

How fast can I get funded?

If your profile is already strong, as fast as 3 to 7 days. If it needs cleanup first, expect 30 to 90 days, and you'll usually qualify for more once it's done.

How do you get paid?

Our fee is a percentage of the funding we help you secure. There's no upfront fee, and we walk through the exact terms on the call before you commit to anything.

Will checking my options hurt my credit?

No. The pre-qualify questions are self-reported, so there's no credit pull to see your options.
